.I have suffered with back problems for over 20 years, and have tried a variety of treatments and therapies to help with the pain. Some have helped a little, others have not helped at all. My cousin, who also has a back problem, had me try his new Homedics SBM 300H back massaging cushion.

He said that it was surprisingly inexpensive when purchased through Amazon.com, and he also got free shipping. Well, let me tell you, after just ONE use of that cushion I was sold! I go back to the days when a back massager looked kind of like a "wand", and you moved it around the back. Not bad, but NOTHING like the SBM 300H!

The SBM 300H could not have been easier to set up. You simply remove a screw that is found on the lower back. Their was really very little involved with removing it. You simply use the hex key that is provided. However, it was a bit tricky to find. I found out later that it is included to protect the SBM 300H while being shipped.

I learned by trial and error that this cushion requires a firm chair.I tried it on a few of my sofas, and it just doesn't do the job. The operations of the chair are managed by a controller. It is a device attached to the chair by a length of wire and resembles a TV remote control.

I place it in a pouch, when not in use, which is sewn into the seat. The controller, even for a technically challenged person like me, was very easy to figure out.

Basically, their are just two modes of operation: a "Shiatsu" kneading mode, while the other is a vertical up and down "Rolling" movement

SBM 300H- Provides Relief To The Spots That Hurt Most!

Their is fabric covering the comfortable seat and the back. It is very smooth and comfortable. The middle section is kind of a mesh, which is over the rollers, and is light gray in color. The rollers on the Homedics SBM 300H do all the massaging actions.

The back of the upright portion features a two-ended Velcro strap that secures it to a chair. It is very secure and definitely stays in place.

I couldn't wait to try the "Demo" mode which takes you through all the modes the cushion has to offer. The two separate modes can be adjusted even more by using buttons for "Full", "Upper", or "Lower" functions.

My favorite feature on the SBM 300H is the Shiatsu mode. With it, I can work on a particular spot by using two "Spot" buttons. It is great for targeting areas that need extra attention!

"Rolling Mode" is cool, too. You use it when you want the rollers' width to be changed. Also, with the "Heat" button, the rollers generate a small amount of heat that is very soothing and relaxing!

It took me awhile to get used to the rollers vibrating, but once I did, I really began craving the SBM 300H!
